Exercise Physiology Services at Bodyfix: Personalised Programs for Strength, Recovery, and Health Support
Our Exercise Physiology services at Bodyfix are designed to support clients in improving their physical function, fitness, and recovery from chronic conditions or injury through personalised, evidence-informed exercise programs.
Exercise Physiology focuses on the use of tailored exercise interventions to assist in the management and prevention of chronic diseases, support injury rehabilitation, and enhance physical function and overall wellbeing.
Unlike general fitness programs, Exercise Physiology is a clinical approach delivered by university-qualified health professionals who understand the complex relationship between exercise, physiology, and health conditions. Accredited Exercise Physiologists are trained to monitor your body during exercise to help ensure safety and support meaningful outcomes.
Each plan is developed and overseen by Accredited Exercise Physiologists, providing structured and personalised support for clients with chronic conditions, recovering from injury or surgery, or working toward improved health and wellbeing.
Conditions Commonly Supported by Our Exercise Physiologists:
Our Exercise Physiologists provide tailored land-based gym and hydrotherapy programs to support individuals managing a wide range of health conditions, including:
Diabetes Management
Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists support clients with diabetes using tailored exercise programs to assist in managing blood glucose levels and improving insulin sensitivity. The evidence-informed approaches aim to promote overall health and support lifestyle changes that may help reduce the risk of diabetes-related complications.
Return-to-Work Conditioning
Our Return-to-Work Conditioning program supports individuals in preparing to safely re-enter the workforce after an injury or illness. Accredited Exercise Physiologists develop customised programs aimed at rebuilding strength, mobility, and endurance to meet the demands of your specific job. The program also aims to support confidence and readiness for returning to work.
Cardiac Rehabilitation
This program is designed for individuals recovering from cardiac events or surgeries, including coronary artery disease and other post-cardiac conditions. Delivered by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, the program combines structured exercise with lifestyle education to support cardiovascular health, rebuild physical capacity, and support individuals in working toward healthier habits. We work in collaboration with your GP or Cardiologist to tailor each 6-12 week plan to your individual needs, delivered in a safe and supportive environment. A referral from your GP or Cardiologist is generally recommended for this program.
Osteoarthritis & Osteoporosis Management
Exercise Physiology plays an important role in supporting individuals with osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. Our tailored programs are designed to promote joint mobility, muscle strength, and bone density. Our tailored programs are designed to alleviate pain, reduce symptoms, and increase resilience, making daily activities easier and safer.
Obesity & Weight Loss Surgery Support
Our Exercise Physiologists work with clients to develop safe and effective exercise programs that support healthy movement and contribute to long-term well-being. For those who have undergone weight loss surgery, we provide guidance to promote strength-based training and encourage sustainable physical activity habits as part of a healthy lifestyle.

For clients with high blood pressure or low cardiovascular fitness, we offer tailored exercise programs designed to support heart health, circulation, and endurance. These programs aim to safely improve cardiovascular function and assist with blood pressure management as part of an overall health strategy.
