As the founding Director of Bodyfix Physiotherapy, Mellissa has built a leading allied health company with multiple locations across Queensland, including a flagship clinic in Townsville with co- director, Meghan. With over 20 years of experience in private practice, Mellissa has developed extensive expertise across various fields, particularly in occupational health, complex lower back pain, and dance physiotherapy.
Mellissa’s commitment to excellence is reflected in her expansive qualifications and her passion for delivering highly individualised care. She has a deep understanding of the mining industry, having pioneered and implemented comprehensive injury management and physiotherapy programs across multiple mine sites. Known for her unwavering support and dedication to client rehabilitation, Mellissa is highly regarded in her field, consistently achieving successful outcomes for her clients.
Beyond her clinical work, Mellissa is the founder of Physiomentor, a mentorship program designed to guide new graduates entering private practice. As a guest speaker at Australian Physiotherapy conferences, she continues to share her knowledge and inspire peers across the profession.

Meghan is the Co-Director of Bodyfix Physiotherapy and Performance Rehab. Meghan has 10 + years of experience in private practice and has worked in various sporting environments and communities. Meghan’s Sports Physiotherapy career kicked off working in grassroots Rugby League and progressed to roles such as the Head Physiotherapist for the Western Districts Rugby Union Club. Meghan has also provided rehabilitation to members of the Super W Reds team, The Orchids Rugby Team and The Brolga's Rugby Team.
As part of the Sports and Exercise Master program, Meghan worked in Aspetar in Doha where she was exposed to high-performance rehabilitation. In 2018, Meghan was a part of the Medical Team for the Commonwealth Games.
Meghan’s expertise lies in complex tendon pathologies, complex musculoskeletal injuries, and ACL rehabilitation. Meghan has a keen interest in improving women’s sporting performance and bridging the gap between athletic performance and general women's health.

Kathleen Grieten, our Belgium-trained physiotherapist, brings a wealth of experience and a passion for rural health to our Hughenden and Richmond clinics. Known for her cheerful and approachable nature, she embraces remote life and enjoys the connection it brings to the land and community. Casey graduated from James Cook University in Townsville in 2021 after four years of intensive study, bringing a wealth of expertise and dedication to her role as an Exercise Physiologist. Exercise Physiologists are highly trained health professionals skilled in delivering safe, evidence-based exercise interventions for individuals with acute or chronic medical conditions, injuries, or disabilities.
Casey holds several specialised certifications, including Pilates Instruction, Human Nutrition, and Diabetes and Exercise Management. Her primary goal is to empower you to reach your health and fitness goals through personalised, effective exercise programs that support long-term wellness. Casey is committed to providing a safe and motivating environment to help you achieve your best self.

Mick is a local to Townsville and graduated from his Physiotherapy studies at James Cook University.
What sets Mick apart as a physio is his own personal journey through an ACL reconstruction and rehabilitation. This personal insight combined with his professional skills, allows him to approach patient care with an exceptional high knowledge base both clinically and practically for ACL reconstructions and also the empathy to understand the rehab process in full.
Mick has a meticulous approach to patient assessment and treatment planning, tailoring each rehabilitation strategy to the individual's specific needs and goals.
Dedicated to continuous professional growth, Mick actively engages in ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest advancements in physiotherapy. When Mick is not looking after his clients he can be found tennis coaching.

Gina has spent most her life living in a small country town of Miles. She made the move to Townsville to attend James Cook University and complete her physiotherapy studies. She is well known at Bodyfix and TDRU, having worked as a sports Trainer throughout her university years.
Growing up Gina participated in numerous sports where she developed her love for understanding the inner workings of how the body moves and functions. With a keen eye on kinesiology, rehabilitation and recovery, her approach to patient assessment focuses on providing individually tailored rehabilitation strategies. Her approach combines evidence based rehab with purposeful intervention to assist clients in restoring function, preventing re-injury, and moving with confidence in everyday life.

Matt has been teaching and coaching for over 15 years and is a Level 2 – Professional Australian Strength & Conditioning accredited coach. Currently the Faculty Leader for Physical Education at Ignatius Park College, he leads both the Physical Education curriculum and strength and conditioning programs within the School. Matt has multiple Master’s degrees including sports coaching, sports management and exercise science. His coaching is based around using data to make informed decisions to ensure the individual is always training at their optimal level. Matt specialises in the development of strength, power, speed and conditioning for athletic populations.
My aim in joining Bodyfix is to work with a multi-disciplinary team to provide people with the most comprehensive solutions to achieving their health and fitness goals.

Stacey joined our Charters Towers team in 2024 after completing her Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours at Waikato Institute of Technology in New Zealand. She brings a fresh and innovative approach to patient care, blending the latest evidence-based practices with a strong commitment to empowering patients to take an active role in their recovery journey.
Passionate about ongoing learning and professional development, Stacey is dedicated to mastering the most effective treatment techniques to provide exceptional care. Her holistic approach considers the physical and lifestyle factors influencing recovery, allowing her to design individualised treatment plans that align with each patient’s goals.
Outside of work, Stacey enjoys weightlifting and playing soccer, and activities that reflect her belief in the importance of maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle.

Helly is a Physiotherapist with strong experience across musculoskeletal physiotherapy and high-level sport. She has worked extensively in rugby, football, hockey, and touch football, providing injury assessment, rehabilitation, return-to-play management, and pitch-side care for both men’s and women’s teams
Helly takes a holistic, patient-centred approach, combining hands-on treatment with structured exercise-based rehabilitation to help people recover well and reduce their risk of re-injury. She has a particular interest in supporting active individuals and athletes, while also enjoying working with people managing everyday injuries or persistent pain.
Alongside her clinical work, Helly continues to invest heavily in professional development, ensuring her treatment is evidence-based, practical, and tailored to each individual’s goals — whether that’s returning to sport or simply moving with confidence day to day.

Daniel joins our Bodyfix Team as a Physiotherapist with a strong background in sports therapy, rehabilitation, and hands-on treatment.
Originally from Oxford in the UK, he brings experience working across musculoskeletal clinics, community physiotherapy, and competitive sporting environments including football, rugby, and cricket. Daniel’s approach is practical and down-to-earth. He focuses on clear explanations, targeted hands-on treatment where appropriate, and exercise programs that fit into real life. He enjoys helping people who are active, returning from injury, or dealing with ongoing aches and pain move with confidence again.
With additional qualifications in sports massage and cricket coaching, Daniel has a particular interest in supporting athletes and active individuals to recover well, perform strongly, and stay resilient long term.
Originally from Townsville, Jack grew up moving around Australia and brings a broad life and clinical perspective to his work. With family in the Army, he has a strong connection to defence clients and a genuine understanding of their physical demands.
Jack has a big sporting background, with a strong interest in sporting physiotherapy. He’s completed extensive sports training, particularly in rugby, and has competed at a high level in volleyball and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (holding a purple belt). These days, AFL is his main sport.
New to Charters Towers, Jack is already loving the town and embracing the rural lifestyle.
Emma joins our team from Ireland. She graduated from Teesside University in the UK with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy (First Class Honours), having previously completed a Level 6 qualification in Sports Therapy. Emma also holds certifications in taping and strapping, strength and conditioning, manual handling, and basic life support, and is NDIS qualified. She is a proud member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA).
Emma gained valuable experience through hospital-based clinical rotations in Ireland, as well as working closely with a high-level football team, where she managed a wide range of sports-related and musculoskeletal injuries.
Since relocating to Australia, Emma has worked as a community physiotherapist across aged care and NDIS settings. She is passionate about delivering person-centred, evidence-based care, supporting clients to improve mobility, function, and overall quality of life within the community.

Bodyfix is an NDIS Registered Provider and accepts DVA and Work Cover clients in Richmond. All of our health professionals are primary healthcare practitioners, so there is no referral necessary from your doctor unless you are claiming insurance from an accident or workplace injury, or if you are a DVA client.
